Birmingham City University Halls of Residence

halls at Birmingham City UniversityBirmingham City University has five halls of residence in four locations. Most are self-catering with rooms cost between £49.00 and £80.00 per week (2003/4 prices). This includes heating, lighting and hot water.

The Coppice, adjacent to the Perry Barr campus is approximately 3 miles from tic. It has 432 single study-bedrooms, with separate kitchen, lounge and two bathrooms for each group of six students.

Oscott Gardens, also adjacent to the Perry Barr campus, consists of 419 en suite study bedrooms with separate kitchen and lounge for each group of seven students.

Westbourne Campus, located two miles from the city centre, has 300 single study-bedrooms and 34 shared rooms (two small bedrooms with a joint study area). Kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared.

Cambrian Hall in the city centre has 207 single rooms which are similar to those at Westbourne Campus.

Hamstead Campus is approximately 4 miles from tic. It has 721 rooms consisting mostly of single rooms and facilities similar to The Coppice.

As soon as you are given an unconditional offer of a place on a course, or your conditional offer has been met (on receipt of your exam results), you will be sent further details and an accommodation application form. This allows you to indicate your preference for type of accommodation and to detail any special requirements.
