Cisco Networking Academy Program

CCNA COURSES

Held on part time basis, of two evenings per week or on a Saturday for a period of 6 hours.

This covers all four parts of the Cisco Networking Academy Program relating to the CCNA and is run for a period of 30 weeks, the first 15 weeks covering CCNA1 (Networking Basics) and CCNA2 (Routers and Routing Basics) and the second 15 weeks covering CCNA3 (Switching Basics & Intermediate Routing) and CCNA4 (WAN Technologies). The course coinciding with term times at the University.

The CCNA examination can be taken on completion of all four semesters, at a cost of approximately £105 at an approved testing centre for which, you will be given a discount voucher if you achieve 70% or more in the assessment tests during CCNA4 which covers information from CCNA1-4 courses, which will entitle you to 40% off the cost of the examination fee.

The CCNA courses are currently part of PDC modules.


CCNP COURSES

Held on a part time basis two evenings per week the course is of 2 years duration, and will be 30 weeks in the first year and will cover CCNP1 (Advanced Routing – BSCI) and CCNP2 (Remote Access – BCRAN).

With a further 30 weeks in year two covering CCNP3 (Multi-Layer Switching – BCMSN) and CCNP4 (Network Troubleshooting – CIT). Again the course coincides with University Term time.

The cost of this course is £3,000 and can either be paid as one payment or two payments of £1,500 prior to commencement of the course.
The CCNP examinations can be taken at an approved test centre once each part of the course is completed and costs approximately £105 per exam.

Both the CCNA and CCNP are hands on courses, as well as tutorials.
